Noemi Rodriguez of Dallas, formerly of Hondo, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023, at the age of 75.

Born in Hondo, July 17, 1948, she was the daughter of Atiliano G. and Irene Esparza Rodriguez.

She attended school in Hondo. She liked to sing karaoke and collect Betty Boop items. Her apartment was filled with memorabilia and she became known as "Betty Boop" to other residents.  She loved football, basketball and Friday night wrestling and would say that she was the #1 cheerleader for the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks.

Noemi was preceded in death by her parents; infant sons, Albert Reyes Jr. and Robert Ray Reyes; and sister, Maria "May" R. Soto.

Survivors include her son, Emilio "Eddie" Rodriguez (Jessica); granddaughters, Emily Irene and Abigail Rodriguez; and brothers, Cleto "Clay" Rodriguez, Atiliano E. "Tilley" Rodriguez Jr.; and sisters, Adelina R. Campos and Florence "Flo" Rodriguez.

Rosary at 10:00 a.m., followed by Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m., will be on Saturday, Sept. 30, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, followed by enurnment at Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
