Obituary

Nora Bernice Hanchett of Hondo, Texas, went home to be with the Lord & her loved ones on November 29, 2003, at the age of 82 in San Antonio. She was born on April 13, 1921 in Waureka, OK. She moved to Bartlesville at a young age, graduated from high school & business school. She retired from Cities Service Oil Company. She was in the contracts section. Nora was married to Ralph Lippert until his death in 1982. After her retirement she moved to California to be near her sister Modena Dixon. Here she met and married Ted Hanchett. They traveled extensively being in every state at least once. Ted passed away in October 2002. She moved to Hondo to live with her daughter in February 2003. She is preceded in death by her father: Robert Lee Ball; mother: Bertha (Swofford) Ball; twin brother: Wade Ball; sister: Alice Louise Pitts; 2nd husband: Ted Hanchett; 1st husband: Ralph C. Lippert; grandmother Leona Swofford. She is survived by her daughter: Vici Williams and husband Jim of Hondo; grandchildren: Renee Clewell and husband Joe of Hondo, Michelle Nooner of Hondo, Shelly Lambert of Castroville, and Sean Riley and wife Sally of Humble; 6 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; sister: Elsie Modena Dixon of Hondo. The Funeral Service is scheduled for 7:00 pm Tuesday, December 2, 2003, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home. Burial is scheduled for 10:00 am Thursday, December 4, 2003, at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville, OK. Grandma was much loved and will be greatly missed.
