Norman Kent Gray, age 79, of Hondo, passed away March 17, 2004, in San Antonio. He was born on October 5, 1924, in Dunlay, to James Edward & Clara (Uzzel) Gray. Norman was a lineman with the telephone company in Uvalde. Norman was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law: Mary Margaret Gray; brother-in-law: Albert Alexander Haegelin. He is survived by his wife: Amy (Melton) Gray of Hondo; son: William Gray and wife Deborah of San Clemente, CA; daughter: Kendra Woods and husband Steve of Uvalde; grandchildren: Clinton Gray, Steve Woods, Justin Woods, Ginger Woods, Rebecca Woods; brother: Bruce Gray and wife Estelle of Castroville, Jimmy Gray of Hondo; sister: Gwen Haegelin of Hondo. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home in Hondo. The Funeral Service is scheduled for Saturday, March 20, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home in Hondo with burial to follow in Yancey Cemetery.
