Erline Webster, age 80, of Hondo passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, 2008. Erline was born Feb. 25, 1928, in Edgewood, TX, the daughter of Arlie Lee Spradlin and Dessa Bell (Prestridge) Spradlin. Erline was a dedicated homemaker. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a former member of Hondo Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Arlie D. Spradlin; brother-in-law, Horace Etheridge; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Spradlin. She is survived by sons, David E. Weeks and wife Rose of Chicago, IL, and Morris Ray Webster and wife Merrie of Maple Valley, WA; daughters, Betty L. Wright and husband David of Woodbridge, VA, Debra A. Moore and Paula S. Webster, both of Hondo; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Maxine Workman and husband Ralph of Albuquerque, NM, and Wanda Etheridge of Canton. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, at First Baptist Church of Hondo. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio. The pallbearers were Jeremy Cunningham, Brian Wright, Morris Webster, David Wright, David A. Weeks, David E. Weeks.
