Ora Lee Thompson, age 66, of San Antonio passed away Tuesday, Apr. 2, 2013. Born in Hondo Sept. 11, 1946, he was the son of Howard Knowles and Cornelia Thompson Knowles, both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by brothers, Clarence H. Knowles, John Knowles, William Knowles, James Knowles and Fred Knowles. Rev. Ora Thompson accepted Christ at an early age. Rev. Thompson attended Guadalupe Seminary and joined Zion Star Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Emeritus, Rev. O. L. McNary. Rev. Thompson remained an active and involved member with Zion Star until his health began to fail. Funeral service was at 10 a.m., Friday, April 12, at Zion Star Missionary Baptist Church, 834 Virginia Boulevard, San Antonio TX 78203, interment followed at 12:30 p.m. at Cottonwood Cemetery, Hondo.
