Oralia E. Botello of Hondo passed away Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021, at the age of 75.

Born in Hondo, Feb. 12, 1946, she was the daughter of Francisco and Maria Guajardo Esquivel.

A proud Navy wife, Oralia loved to travel and had driven all over the United States. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, barbecuing, camping, hiking and swimming.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, making crafts and baking cakes.

Very active in her faith, she was a member of Guadalupana Society for many years, and currently served as vice president of the group.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Adolpho L. Botello; son, Adolpho E. Botello, Jr.; and mother-in-law, Ysidra L. Botello.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Bridget B. Botello, Marcelyn L. Botello and Michelle L. Botello, all of Hondo; grandchildren, Kentrell, Lakeisha, Julio, SeChelle, Kadejha, Ladejha, Latrell, Kanaie, CharEllez, BianKKa, Marco; and great-grandchildren, LaVance, Autumn, Andre, Eric, JoChelle and Zhavia.

Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral service will be Saturday, Oct. 23, 10:30 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
