Otis Edward Nester of Ozona, Texas, passed away September 25, 2005, at the age of 79. He was born September 18, 1926, in D'Hanis, the son of Henry & Ella Theresa (Brown) Nester. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ervin, Herbart, Oscar, and Maurice Nester; sisters Lorine Lanford, Stella Grinder. He is survived by his wife Myra Lois (Sampier) Jones Nester; daughters Kathryn Snider and husband Steve of San Antonio, Patsy Nester of Mesquite, Ellen Reinhard of San Antonio; grandchildren Steven and Shelley Reinhard ; step-daughters Barbara Hohon and husband Pete of D'Hanis, Jacquelyn Pauley and husband Mike of Ozona, Irene Simpson and husband Greg of Corpus Christi; numerous step-grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters Ruth Ney of Hondo, Ruby McIntire of Georgetown, Darlene Freeman of Sabinal, Charleen Saathoff of Hondo. The Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday Sept. 28, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home. The Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor John Collis of the 1st Baptist church of Ozona, will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday Sept. 29, at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home in Hondo. The casketcarriers were Jim Couch, Danny Earl, David Earl, Jack Gillit, Gary Saathoff, Chris Story. The Honorary casketcarriers wre Raymond Fowler, William Fowler, Jr., D.L. Lanford, Jimmy Nester, Ricky Nester, MArk Ney, Thomas Ney, Jr., Alan Saathoff, Kim Saathoff. Interment will follow in WOW Cemetery, D'Hanis, Texas.
