Otto Burtle "Buddy" Jones, age 74, of Lakehills passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011. He was born July 1, 1936, in Hondo, the son of John B. and Lucille Mae (Mumme) Jones. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and retired after 22 years of service. He had worked as an electrician at the YO Ranch Resort in Kerrville. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patsy Marie Finger; and half-sister, Ina Joyce Roberts. He is survived by his niece, Charlyn Burrell and husband Spencer of D'Hanis; nephew, Pat O'Hara; and great-niece, Kalyn Burrell of D'Hanis. A graveside memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 9, at the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
