Pamela "Pam"
Louise Dile Lutz
December 2, 1943 – March 31, 2025
Pamela "Pam" Louise Lutz, age 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family March 31st, 2025.
Pam was born on December 2, 1943, and was blessed to be adopted at an early age by Everett E. Dile and Anna Dile. She peacefully entered eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and dedication to her family and community.
Pam was preceded in death by her beloved son, Raymond "Ray" Allen Lutz; her grandson, Cody Allen Lutz; her parents; and her siblings, Richard, Bobby, and Jerry, as well as her sisters, June and Wanda. She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Harold Leon Lutz; her sons, Keith (Marla) Lutz, Greg (Christy) Lutz, Kevin (Brookie) Lutz, and Daughter-in-law Cherelyn Lutz; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom she adored.
On August 8, 1961, Pam married the love of her life, Harold. She worked various jobs before discovering her true calling in 1977 when she began a career at Gill Savings. Throughout the years, she navigated multiple bank acquisitions. On December 10, 1996, Broadway National Bank purchased the Bank of America branch in Hondo, Texas. Pam managed the Hondo branch as the Vice President Market Manager until her retirement in December 2019.
One of Pam's greatest passions was helping children in the community. While working at Broadway, she had the vision to create a program to assist children in need with school supplies. That vision soon became Pack the Bus, a program that Broadway National Bank later adopted companywide under the name Stuff the Bus.
Pam was also a devoted parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where she served in youth ministry for 14 years. She was an active Rotarian and served her community as a board member of the Hondo Area Chamber of Commerce for 30 years.
Above all, Pam cherished her family and friends. If you ever had the opportunity to experience one of her home-cooked meals, you could feel the love in every bite. No matter who showed up unexpectedly, she always made room at the table. She took great joy in spoiling her daughters-in-law and grandchildren with special outings and celebrations.
Pam and Harold also shared a deep love for dancing. Many nights were spent spinning across the floor of Texas dance halls, two-stepping to their favorite tunes or gliding to their all-time favorite, Waltz Across Texas.
Pam was loved and cherished by so many and will be deeply missed. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and community will forever be remembered.
