Pasqual Ramirez of Hondo, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 8, 2007, at the age of 96. He was born in Brackettville, February 9, 1911, the son of Marcial & Gregoria (Rodriguez) Ramirez. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Marcial Ramirez, Jr., Casimiro Ramirez, Lionicio Ramirez; sister, Genoveva Gonzales. Pasqual is survived by his daughters, Genoveva "Eva" Gonzales of Hondo, Gloria Ramirez Rendon of Hondo; brother, Fidel Ramirez and wife Andrea of Hondo; grandchildren, Elva G. Locklin, Dalia Smith, Melissa Gonzales Garcia, Juan Rendon, Evangelina Piedra, and Ray Rendon; great-grandchildren, Jackie Escamilla, Erick Gomez, Nicholas Gomez, Michael Rey Garcia, Ponciano Valdemar Garcia, David Anthony Garcia, Juan Rendon, Clarrisa Piedra, and Enrique Piedra. The Rosary will be at 10:30 a.m. and the Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday June 12, both at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Pallbearers were Juan Rendon, Francisco Ramirez, Cory Smith, Erick Gomez, Abel Garza, John Locklin. Burial will follow in the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
