Pat Edward "PJ" Brawner, Jr. of Hondo, age 55, passed away Sunday, Mar. 17, 2024, surrounded by family and friends where he most wanted to be: at his camp house.
Born Mar. 31, 1968, in San Antonio, he was the son of Pat E. Brawner, Sr. and Diane Graff Brawner.
PJ graduated from Hondo High School, Class of 1987, and enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Hawk Missile Technician at Ft. Bliss, Texas. After military service, he worked for TexDoT then as a concrete technician.
He is preceded in death by his mother and his grandparents, Frank and Sis Graff and Vernon and Frances Kraemer.
He is survived by his father; brother, Jason W. Brawner; uncle, Vernon Kraemer (Kim); aunt, Esther Smith (Jim); and nephew, Ty William Brawner. Also, cousins and their children, Brandon Kraemer (Julia), Chase and Cayden; Chesney Brown (Matt), Waylon, Wyatt and Wrenley; and Tyler Kraemer (Stephanie), Samuel.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Mar. 21, at Guinn-Horger Chapel, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakood Section.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
