Patricia Ann "Pat" McLelland, age 79 years, 2 months, 16 days, of Hondo TX, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 21, 2017. Pat was born in Burlington, Texas, on July 5, 1938, and was the only child of Walter Joseph and Grace Cecilia Busker Kaulfus. Pat lived in Houston, TX, for over 60 years where she raised what she referred to as her pride-and-joy: her son, J.C. McLelland. For 30-plus years, she owned and operated Pat's Browse About, a resale shop in Houston. Pat loved being a Mom and Grannie to her son and granddaughter. She loved her family, friends and her Kitty Cat Kenkie. She loved to dance to old country music. She used to teach dance lessons and even taught most of her son's friends how to dance. She was a member of the Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo Palomino Horse Committee for over 20 years. She liked trail riding and was a member of the Elks Lodge. Pat moved to Hondo in 2011 to be closer to her son, granddaughter and daughter-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents and her partner-in-life, Chuck Tobias. Pat is survived by her son, J.C. McLelland; daughter-in-law, Cammie Kircus-McLelland; her granddaughter, Carlee McLelland, as well as her special cat, Kenkie, all of Hondo. Funeral service will be held Monday, Sept. 25, 1:00 p.m., at the Cowboy Church in God's Country, 374 County Road 341, Hondo, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section. Pallbearers were J.C. McLelland, James Hines, John McClure, Mike Mollere, Jacob Clark and Derrick Stricker.
