Patrick Joseph McGraw of D'Hanis, 85, passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017. Born Dec. 8, 1931, in Steubenville OH, he was the son of John Joseph and Anna Caroline Nehr McGraw. Pat was a graduate of D'Hanis High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a retired engineer with Texas Highway Department. He enjoyed working with his cattle and loved woodworking. He served faithfully at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Pat was always ready with a smile and, if you needed help, he was there. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, David McGraw and wife Faye; and his former wife, Mary Lanell McGraw. He is survived by his son, Patrick Joseph McGraw Jr., and wife Elizabeth of Plainview; daughter, Donna Louise McGraw Schlueter of D'Hanis; grandchildren, Jamie Schlueter of Hondo, Kevin (Dierdre) Schlueter of San Diego CA, Jessica McGraw of Plainview, Jennifer McGraw of San Antonio; and niece, Robyn (Dr. Rob) Fuller of Austin. Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, Jan. 10, 10:00 a.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church, D'Hanis. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
