Paul Joseph Pleasant of San Antonio, age 55, passed away Friday, Aug 27, 2021.

Born Oct. 7, 1965, in San Antonio, he was the son of Joseph L. and Cherri Macdecy Pleasant.

Paul graduated from Churchill High School in 1984 and the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Nursing. He worked for several years at Audie Murphy Hospital and later at  the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.

He was a compassionate and caring nurse and an accomplished musician. But, most of all, he loved his family and was especially proud of his sons. He was also an animal lover.

He is predeceased by his father, Joseph Lloyd Pleasant; grandparents, John and Viola Macdecy; great-grandmother, Elma Hamm; and aunt, Anita Pleasant.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Lynette Pleasant; sons, Adrian Scott Pleasant and Christopher Damon Pleasant; mother, Cherri Field; grandmother, Betty Newman; and cousin, Leslie Bourgeois.

Funeral service will be at Guinn-Horger Chapel Friday, Sept. 3, at 2:00 p.m. with John McAnelly leading the service. Interment will be at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
