On Friday, May 16, Our Heavenly Father called home his daughter, Paulina "Paula" Garcia Trevino, age 85, of D'Hanis. Born in D'Hanis, June 18, 1928, she was the daughter of Aniceto A. and Martina (Muñiz) Garcia. Paula was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years, David Treviño; brother, Natividad Muñiz; and sisters, Leonarda Guerra, Pascuala Garcia and Manuela Rodriguez. Survivors include her daughters, Bertha Hernandez and husband Joe of San Antonio, Elva Trevino of D'Hanis and Sophie Campos of Hondo; grandchildren, Anna Lisa Maldonado and husband Nick, Alexia Campos Kailipaka and husband Carl, Rosa Linda Hernandez, Jose David Hernandez, and Andrew Campos; and step-great-grandson, Kawika Kailipaka; brother, Emilio Garcia; sisters, Louisa Alvarez and Blanca Campos; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be Monday, May 19, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2014, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church with interment following at San Francisco Cemetery, D'Hanis.
