Pearl Mae Grunewald Age 92 years, 8 months, and 14 days, of Hondo, Texas, died on Monday, October 18, 2004. She was born in New Fountain, Texas on February 4, 1912, the daughter of John August & Margaretha (Broers) Hardt. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Alonzo John Grunewald; brothers Robert, Fred, Emil, Ernest Hardt; sisters Mary Lou Grunewald, Annie Martin. Pearl is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, October 20, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Thursday, October 21, at the First United Methodist Church of Hondo. The pallbearers were Bobby Britsch, Sam Menk, Ralph C. Stiegler, Jr., Ralph Gilliam, Sterling Martin, Edwin L. "Buck" Barrow. The burial followed in the Yancey Cemetery.
