Phyllis Elizabeth Beesler Averitt of Hondo, age 82, passed away Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021.

Born in Chicago IL, June 28, 1939, she was the daughter of William Harry and Viola Ellen Behnke Beesler.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Averitt; daughter, Terry Griffin; and brother, William Beesler.

Survivors include her daughters, Sue (Kevin) Long and Kristie (Kelly) Mahanay, all of Hondo; grandchildren, Mindi (Andrew) Gilliam, Kevin "KW" (Nikki) Long, Cody Boettcher, Jake (Kassie) Boettcher, Brooks Griffin and Daulton Griffin; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Fisher, Hunter and Emmi Gilliam and Koen Boettcher; and sister, Jacqueline (Richard) Smith of Manawa, WI; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
