Phyllis Marie Chapman Bendele (62), of Castroville, born August 8, 1954. Passed Friday, October 14, 2016. Reunited in spirit with her mama and daddy, Georgia Mae (Muennink) & Charles Fred Chapman of Hondo, as well as her grandmother, Ida (Tundre) Muennink, of Hondo, and step-father, Alvin Keller of Lacoste. Her memory kept in the care of her son, Nathan R. Chapman & daughter-in-law, Rebecca Chapman. She gifted her four grandchildren, Mark, Michaela, Kayte, and Kade Chapman the joy of her love & laughter, and devotion. A graduate of Hondo High Scool and San Antonio College, Phyllis worked as a caseworker for HHSC local office for over 13 years, and loved helping serve the needs of the community. A rosary service will be held at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home in Hondo in November.
