Rachel Ruth Dorsey Morrel, age 69, went home to meet her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021. Born in San Antonio, TX on July 1, 1952, she was the youngest daughter of William C. and Nina Dawson Dorsey.

Many of you loved and respected Rachel for the way she lived her life, and how she touched the lives of those around her.  Her strength and faith in the Lord sustained her, and she encouraged others in their Christian walk. Rachel loved to have fun and laugh. She loved her family and friends dearly. Her favorite hymn was "It will be worth it all when we see Jesus". We are comforted knowing she has now looked into Christ's wonderful face, and it truly is worth it all. She is finally home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 37 years, Thomas D. Morrel IV; son, Thomas D. Morrel V; brothers, David J. Dorsey and William C. "Bubba" Dorsey; and sister, Patricia G. Dasher.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tandilyn R. Morrel; older sister, Doris-Ann Haecker; younger brother, Tim Dorsey; and many more cousins and family members.

Visitation for family will be Friday, Oct. 22, 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. and friends from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m., at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside service will be Friday, Oct. 22, 11:00 a.m., at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
