Ralph Jacob Jones of Hondo, Texas, passed away December 31, 2005, at the age of 87. He was born December 19, 1918, in Boston, MA, the son of Ralph Jacob & Veda Antonia (Anderson) Jones. Ralph was a Navigation Instructor at the Hondo Army Air Field during World War II. He also operated a shoe store in Hondo for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Roland Jones, Dick Jones; sisters Flora Jones, Viola Quilty. Ralph is survived by his wife Anna Laura (Renken) Jones of Hondo; sons Eric Paul Jones and wife Diana of Cincinnati, OH, Stephen Lee Jones and wife Patricia of Long View, WA, Ralph J. "Buddy" Jones, Jr. of Carrizo Springs; daughter Ann Gay Walker and husband Renny of Hondo; son Michael Jones and wife Kathy of Pepermint Grove, Western Australia; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchilldren. The Funeral Service, officiated by Fr Jeff Pehl, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday January 6, 2006, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The pallbearers were David Jones, Mark Rodriguez, John Jones, Bryan Jones, Robbie Jones, Craig Jones. Interment will follow in Hondo Cemetery, St. John's Section.
