Ramona O. Muniz of Hondo, Texas, passed away November 17, 2005, at the age of 70. She was born January 5, 1935, in D'Hanis, the daughter of Felix & Maria (Del Refugia Mendez) Ortega. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons Edward Muniz, Jr., infant Felix Muniz; daughter-in-law Oralia Muniz. Ramona is survived by her husband Edward "Eddie" Muniz of Hondo; daughter Estella Muniz Robles of Hondo; sons Tony Muniz and wife Ida of Hondo, Richard Muniz of Hondo; 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; brothers Jose M. Ortega and wife Lupe of Hondo, Alfonso Ortega and wife Dolores of Ohio, Miguel Ortega and wife Maria of San Antonio, Filiberto Ortega of San Antonio, Reynaldo Ortega of San Antonio; sisters Raquel Reyes of Idaho, Elizea Rivera of San Antonio, Eva Contreras of North Dakota, Teresa Carrales of Freer. The Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr Jeff Pehl, will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 19, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo. The pallbearers were Vicente Leija, Miguel Leija, Tony Muniz, Jonathan Robles, James Robles, Jacob Robles. Interment will follow in Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
