Ray Anthony Garrison, age 58, of D'Hanis passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2015. Born March 13, 1956, in San Antonio, he was the son of Raymond Edward and Della Jean Algueseva Garrison, both of whom preceded him in death. Ray was a friendly man who loved his family very much. Tradition, faith and his family were extremely important aspects in his life that he held significantly close to his heart. He enjoyed sports, music, movies and fun times with his family and friends. Ray is survived by his two daughters, Jamie Murphy and Dana Balderrama; son-in-law, Clayton Murphy; and two grandchildren, Desmond and Alexis Murphy, all of Pensacola FL; brother, Mark (Letha) Garrison and their children, Jacob and Cody Garrison, all of D'Hanis; his sister, Denise Molina and her children, Hernan Molina, Natalya Molina and Elijah Abrego, all of San Antonio; his aunt, Yolanda Davis and cousins, Suzette Davis and Wilbur Davis, all of Helotes. The memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, to celebrate the life of Ray and to provide him and his family blessings. The family suggests memorials may be made to Ray through his brother, Mark Garrison of D'Hanis, and may be brought to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Helotes.
