Raynaldo Sanchez Jr.. 41. of Hondo passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017. Ray, known to his family as "Nano", was born in Manhattan, KS, on April 7, 1976. He graduated from Hondo High School and attended college at SWTJC for two years. He worked at the Hondo Wal-Mart as manager in the Deli Department. Ray's passions included detailing vehicles and spending time with his family and friends. He greeted everyone with a sincere smile and was known for his contagious laugh. He had many friends and family and he greatly valued their relationships. Ray was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jacob and Eloisa Sanchez and Guadalupe L. Alvarez; great-grandparents, Antonio and Isabel Alvarez and Braulio and Epifania Valenzuela; and uncles and aunt, Juan Sanchez, Christopher and Edward Alvarez and Mr. and Mrs. Isabel Rodriguez. He is survived by his loving wife, Rita Trenidad Sanchez; his daughter, Krysta; stepson, Kaleb Vela; parents, Reynaldo and Elizabeth Sanchez; sister, Jannell Sanchez Ortega; grandmother, Rosa Alvarez; nephew, Jordan Gauna; father- and mother-in-law, Alex and Becky Trenidad; sisters-in-law, Michelle (Matthew Gonzales) Trenidad, Nichole (David) Cuellar and Stephanie Trenidad; grandmother-in-law, Herminia Piña; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., Thursday, July 27, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m., Friday, July 28, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
