Earl Renwick "Renny' Walker, age 61, of Hondo passed away peacefully at home on April 22, 2013. He was born on April 18, 1952, in Kingsville, Texas, to Dale and Ruthie Walker. He is predeceased by his parents and brother, James. He is survived by his wife, Ann Gay Walker; daughter, Courtney Rodriguez, and husband, Mark, along with their children, Tyler, Madison, and Sabrina; his son, Justin Walker, and wife, Kara, and their son, Quinton, all of Hondo. He is also survived by his brother, Dale Walker Jr., and his sons, Jason and Jeremy, all of San Antonio. Renny grew up in Kingsville, where he was FFA president and lead his chapter to many victories. He attended Texas A&I University from 1970-1974 where he fell in love with and married Ann Gay Jones of Hondo. After college, he began his career in real estate in San Antonio and, after a move to Hondo, became an oil field operator. He always enjoyed hunting, fishing, and time out on the boat. These days he spent time with his grandkids at baseball games or out on the boat during summer vacations. Visitation will be Thursday, April 25, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home with Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. John's Catholic Church in Hondo on Friday, April 26, at 10:00 a.m. Services will conclude at the church.
