Reymundo D. Rodriguez Jr. of San Antonio, age 48, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, after a long illness. He was born Oct. 1, 1958, in Hondo, the son of Reymundo B. Sr. and Edilia H. (Dominguez) Rodriguez. He was a nurse. Rey was preceded in death by his brother, Leoniel Rodriguez, and niece, Bonita Rodriguez. His father passed away on Oct. 4, 2007. He is survived by his daughter, Yesenia Rodriguez of Hondo; son, Chris Rodriguez of Del Rio; daughter, Vanessa Rodriguez of San Antonio; mother, Edilia Rodriguez of Hondo; eight grandchildren; brother, Orlando Rodriguez of Hondo; sister, Norma Ricci and husband Mark of Charlotte, NC; and friend, Serafin Gonzalez of San Antonio. A Rosary, led by Jose Mares on Saturday, and Funeral Mass, celebrated Sunday, Oct. 7, at 1 p.m. by Fr. Ken Dakin, for Rey and his father were held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Pallbearers were Tony, Frank Jr., Ronnie, Rudolfo Jr., Randy and B. J. Rodriguez. Interment was at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
