Richard Allen "Rick" Rohrbach, age 69, of D'Hanis passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015. He was born Oct. 26 , 1945 in Hondo, son of Oscar J. and Melverda Poerner Rohrbach. A graduate of Hondo High School, he served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Throughout his life, he was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He worked some 40 years as an automotive mechanic. Rick is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Laurie Ann Rohrbach. He is survived by his wife, Gail Ann Kollman Rohrbach; sons, Dr. Kenneth Rohrbach of Three Rivers and Kevin Rohrbach of D'Hanis; brother, John Paul (Gayle) Rohrbach of Castroville; sisters, Kay (Bob) Heyen and Mary (Larry) Griffin, all of Hondo; and mother-in-law, Dorothy Tamplin of Bulverde. Visitation will be Thursday, July 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. Friday, followed by the Funeral Mass at 2 p.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church, D'Hanis. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
