MSGT Richard Ray Wilson, 79, of Hondo went to be with the Lord on August 9, 2011. Ray was born January 22, 1932, to the late Clyde and Lenna B. Wilson, former residents of Hondo. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clyde Wilson Jr.; and two sons, Mark Wilson, age 29, and Robert Dell Wilson, who died at childbirth. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy (Davis) Wilson; three sons, Duane Wilson of San Antonio, Glen Wilson of Hondo, and Jason Wilson, U.S. Coast Guard, ofPort O¿½Connor, his wife Malinda and daughter Brooke; grandson, Bryan Wilson, U.S. Coast Guard, of Belle Chasse, LA, his wife Amber and their daughters, Rebecca and Shelby; granddaughter, Julie Ward of Spring Branch and her husband Chris and daughter Madison; and grandson, Allan Wilson of Hondo. After retirement from the U.S. Air Force, he also retired from the Texas Highway Department. He worked many years out of District 15 in San Antonio. Ray is loved and will be greatly missed by everyone. No public service is planned.
