Robert William Baier, age 93, of Hondo passed away Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014. Born Oct. 13, 1921, in Newark NJ, he was the son of John and Margaret Heugle Baier. He served in the Army Air Corps in WWII and worked for Prudential Insurance Company until his retirement. He spent his retirement traveling and square dancing. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Juanda Wilson Baier. He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie (Kent) Fowler of Hondo; son, Robert Wilson (Dena) Baier of Houston; grandchildren, Jenny (Jacob) Kondo, Robert Bradley Baier and Michelle (Dustin) Young; and great-granddaughter, Lauryn Young. A private memorial service and interment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
