Robert Kyle "Bobby" Coyle

Robert Kyle Coyle, 44, of Katy, TX, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 26, 2026. He was a devoted father and husband, wonderful son and brother, and great friend to many. Bobby was born on August 10, 1982, in Midland, TX, to Douglas Coyle and Renie Coyle (Gilliam).

From a young age, Bobby loved the outdoors, sports, and spending time with his family and friends. He graduated from Texas State University in 2008, where he met his wife, Melissa Coyle (Ekstrom). Together they built a home filled with laughter and love and raised two beautiful children: Molly Marie Coyle and Macey Lee Coyle. He was a hard-working father who always tried to provide the best for his family. Bobby was one of those people who was just so easy to be around; to know him was to love him. He was an avid golfer who cherished his many memories on the course. He has now been called home to the great fairway in the sky.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Malford Coyle, Odie and Joyce Gilliam, all from Hondo, TX. 

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Melissa Coyle (Ekstrom); daughters, Molly Coyle and Macey Coyle; parents, Doug and Renie Coyle; brothers, Derek Coyle (Ashley) and Matt Coyle; in-laws, Wayne and Beverly Ekstrom; and an abundance of other friends and family members.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2026 at the Hondo Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Hondo Cemetery in Hondo, Texas.
