Robert David Thompson, loving husband to Barbara, of Hondo, passed away Tuesday, Apr. 22, 2008, at age 67. He was born in Little Rock, AR, on May 31, 1940, to parents, Robert Bennie Thompson and Cordie Mae Blasingame. He retired as MSgt from the US Air Force after 21 years of service. After retirement, he returned to Hondo where he worked as an electronics instructor and published author. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ethel Mae Meeks; and niece, Twila Meeks. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Theresa, Tammy, Michelle and husband Clark, Robert and wife Janet, Tony and wife Diana, Briana and husband Derek, Dawn and husband Ryan; as well as 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation: Thursday, Apr. 24, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral Mass: Friday, Apr. 25, 3 p.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church, D'Hanis, with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
