Roberta Ann Faseler Neumann

Roberta Ann Faseler Neumann, 85, passed away on May 22, 2026, at her home in Woodway, Texas. She was born on February 25, 1941 in Hondo, Texas, to Robert Alton Faseler and Dora Mae McAnelly Faseler.

“Berta” graduated from Hondo High School where she met her future husband, Donald “Don” J. Neumann. They married on December 27, 1960, and enjoyed 65 years together, traveling many miles and visiting many countries. They were blessed with 3 children, 7 grandsons, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Berta actively sang in her church choir for more than 75 years. She served on a multitude of church committees, and as an election judge, always making service a priority. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to visit family and to watch all events in which her grandchildren participated. She was an excellent seamstress and she logged countless hours making patterns and sewing all types of clothing, including Cheri’s wedding dress! She was also an excellent cook, perfecting numerous family recipe favorites. She enjoyed working outdoors as well, especially with plants and flowers.

She was dearly loved by all and will be greatly missed!

Berta was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dora Mae Faseler; in-laws, Vip and Jewel Neumann; brother, Herbert Faseler; and brother-in-law, Steve Hackebeil.

She is survived by her husband, Don Neumann; children, Keith (Melissa) Neumann, Cheri (Bobby) Brace, and Brian (Carol) Neumann; grandchildren, Garrett (Maddy) Neumann and Preston (Hannah) Neumann, Sean Brace and Marc (Linsay) Brace, and Darren (Ashley) Neumann, Travis Neumann, and Jacob Neumann. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Everly Neumann, Waylan Brace, Luke Neumann, Hallie Neumann, Cooper Brace, Jack Neumann, and Zoey Neumann; sister-in-law, Marilyn Faseler; sister, Claudia (Gale) Long; brother, Clyde (Sharon) Faseler; sister, Lorine Hackebeil; and brother-in-law, Larry (Mary) Neumann; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 27, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home. Service will be Thursday, May 28, at 10 a.m., at Hondo Methodist Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
