Roberto Enriquez Campos, age 77, of Hondo passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2012. Born March 17, 1934, in Hondo, he was the son of Victor and Luz (Enriquez) Campos. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a plumber by trade. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Juanita (Herrera) Campos; and siblings, Victor Jr., Ramon, Pedro, Julio, Jose, Cypriano, Domingo, Juan J., Lupe Martinez and Rosa C. Trevino. Survivors include his daughters, Adriana H. Campos, Cristella H. Campos, Angelica M. Tellez and husband Gustavo, all of Hondo; sons, Roberto H. Campos of Hondo, Domingo H. Campos and wife Sylvia of Charlotte, and Eduardo H. Campos of Round Rock; seven grandchildren, Steven A. Tapia, Stephanie Tapia, Teresa Tellez, Vanessa Tellez-Zamarripa and husband Alex, Taryn Campos, Zachary Campos and Marina Campos; two great-grandchildren, Amery Hermosillo and Olivia Zamarripa; and brother, Julian E. Campos of Bandera. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 9, with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hondo. Pallbearers were Richard Hernandez, Vicente Camacho, John A. Trevino, Steven A. Tapia, Zachary Campos and Arturo Campos. Interment will be at Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
