Rogelio "Roy" Carmona, Jr. of Hondo, Texas, passed away August 5, 2004, at the age of 46 years, 2 months, and 4 days. He was born in Hondo, Texas on June 1, 1958, the son of Rogelio & Yolanda (Hernandez-Lugo) Carmona. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers: Anastacia Carmona, and Maria Calletana Lugo Flores, aunt Maria Elvira Rodriguez; uncle Ruben Garcia. He is survived by his parents; wife, JoAnn (Salazar) Carmona, children: Rosa Isela Carmona, Cecilia Carmona, Cassandra Carmona, and Analyssa Carmona; step-children: Vanessa Salazar, Vincent Salazar, and Vance Salazar; sisters: Evangelina Cortez, Belinda Gonzalez, Elsa Tovar, and Patricia Peterson; grandchildren: Kyle & Kelsy Cowart. Visitation will be at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home on August 8, 2004 from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Wake Service will be at 7:00 pm at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Sunday, August 8. The Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Monday August 9, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo. Casketcarriers were: Raul Rios, Frank Helvey, Bobby Rios, Carlos Canales, Ricky Cortez, Jorge J. Casias, Rick Dominguez, Abel Dominguez. Interment will follow in Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
