Rolf Emil Bohmfalk, age 81, passed away on July 8, 2005 in Hondo. He was born on October 15, 1923, in Wortham, Texas, the son of Emil Schweer & Katie Mae (Sterling) Bohmfalk. Rolf served in the Army Air Force during WWII and retired from the U.S. Air Force as a M/Sgt. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Clarence Ray Bohmfalk, Robert Arnold Bohmfalk; sister-in-law Marilyn Cagle; brother-in-law Ray Jones. Rolf is survived by his wife Imogene (Bendele) Bohmfalk, daughter Beverly Lutz and husband David of D'Hanis; son Ronald Bohmfalk and wife Wanda of Hondo; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; brother Clifford Lee Bohmfalk of Hondo; sister Rosalie Jones of Yancey. The Rosary was Sunday July 10, at 7:00 p.m. and the Funeral Mass, officiated by Wallis Stiles, was at 10:00 am on Monday, July 11, both services at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo. The pallbearers were Ronnie Bohmfalk, Kevin Gear, Robert Bohmfalk, Keith Smith, Dwayne Lutz, James Dittmar. The Burial followed at the Hondo Cemetery, St. John's Section.
