Obituary

Ronald Wayne "Ronnie" Nolan, 81, of Hondo passed away Friday, Jan. 23, 2026.

Ronnie was the son of Jack Erwin and Norris "Sally" Morris Nolan. He was born Feb. 17, 1944, in Hensley, Arkansas.

An artist with wood and taxidermy, Ronnie was a great hunter, fisherman, storyteller, preacher, poet and teacher. As owner-operator of Nolan's Cabinet Shop for many years, his woodworking skills are evident in area homes and businesses.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jackie Laverne LaSalle.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Feona Beth Sims Nolan; son, Michael Nolan (Lisa); daughter, Shaona "Sha" Nolan; grandchildren, Faith Lynn Brown (Jason), Charity Lee Robles (Tracy), Dual Wayne Zerr, Keagan Lakota Nolan, Torin Dakota Nolan (Lilly), Trent Nakota Nolan, Jessica Ann Nolan; great-grandchildren, Paisley LeeAnn Robles, Gunner Jay Brown and Cooper Daniel Brown.

Family and friends will gather for visitation at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Feb. 14, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.

A service celebrating his life will begin at 11:30, after which the celebration will continue with a gathering at the Nolan residence.
