Rosalinda Alvarez Garcia of Hondo, 66, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017. Born in Natalia, Aug. 17, 1950, she was the daughter of Pablo R. and Luciana Hernandez Alvarez. Rosalinda retired from Hondo Nursing and Rehabilitation after 28 years with the facility. She was preceded in death by her mother and brothers, Carlos Alvarez and Julian Alvarez. Survivors include her father; husband, Abraham Garcia; brothers, Juan M. (Flora) Alvarez and Jose Luis (Joy) Alvarez; sister, Jesusa (Guadalupe) Guardado; and sister-in-law, Alberta Alvarez. Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 18, 6 to 8 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Aug. 19, 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hondo, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
