Roy Kenneth Evans, age 80, of Devine, Texas, peacefully passed away at his home on December 3, 2023. With his loving family by his side, he entered eternal rest after a long battle with cancer.

Roy was born September 27, 1943, in Frio County to Paul and Lucille Evans. He and Margarita Guajardo were married in 1965 in New Braunfels, Texas. Together they had seven children, all of whom he loved dearly.

Roy enjoyed spending time with his family, watching western movies and going on long country drives.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Margarita Evans of Devine; children, Louisa Garza, Reynaldo "Rey" Aguilar, Maria Moreno (Rudy), Fermina Moreno (Alfredo), Santiago "Jim" Aguilar (Janie), Debra Lynn Evans Frausto and Donna Lou Evans; 31 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Paul and Lucille Evans, and his sister, Lorna Jean Walters.

A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, January 21, at 1:00 p.m. at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home, 2006 Ave M, Hondo, TX 78861.

He will forever be in our hearts.
