Royce Russell Hartmann, age 62, passed away on August 19, 2005 in Medina County, Precinct One. He was born on July 18, 1943, in Quihi, the son of Fritz Anton & Lorene Marie (Brucks) Hartman. Royce was a former Medina County Commissioner, Precinct One. He is preceded in death by his parents. Royce is survived by his wife Susan Elaine (Rogers) Hartmann; daughter Melissa Carroll Hartmann; son Todd Rogers hartmann; granddaughter Megan Elaine Hartmann; sister Judy Dittmar and husband Melvin; father-in-law & mother-in-law Jimmy & Inell Rogers. The Funeral Service will be at 3:00 p.m. at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, officiated by Fr. Jeff Pehl. The pallbearers were Clay Heyen, Colby Joe Heyen, Sonny Schulte, Morris Faseler, Freddy Bader, George Floerke, Randy Rouse, Trini Gonzales. The honorary pallbearers were Jake Lutz, Will Houston, Charlie "Chuck" Schueling, Trey Wooten, Trey Bader, Josh Decker, J. R. Decker, Keith Howard, Andrew Gilliam, Kelly Carroll, Henry Santos, Beverly Keller. Burial will follow in the Quihi Cemetery.
