Rudan LaVerne "RL" Forkey, age 59, of Rural Hondo passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012. Born Sept. 14, 1952, in San Antonio, he was the son of Adolph LaVerne and Bevelyn (Paulmann) Forkey. He was owner of Texas Interlocking Paving Co. He is survived by his parents; his companion of 20 years, Debra Baumann of Rural Hondo; daughters, Jennifer Bailey and husband Scott of San Antonio, Adriana Janik and Jessica Janik; four grandchildren; and sisters, Valorie Forkey Lewis and Sendy Forkey of San Antonio. A memorial service will be held at the St. Paul Lutheran Church at 1:00 p.m. on April 28, 2012. The family suggests memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Endowment Fund.
