San Juanita (Dominguez) Martinez, age 93, of Hondo passed away Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011. Born Dec. 17, 1917, in Hondo, she was a daughter of Lucio and Jesusita (Sauceda) Dominguez. She was a restaurant cook and a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jose, Jesus S. "Jesse" and Lucio Dominguez; and sisters, Juanita Leyva, Mercedes D. Torres and Maria Rodriguez. Survivors are her daughters, Corina Hernandez and husband Armando and Esperanza "Hope" N. Bentley, all of Hondo; nine grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Rosary will be recited Friday at 7 p.m. at the Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Guinn-Horger Chapel. Interment will follow at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section. Pallbearers were Albert "Tiko" Hernandez, Richard Navarro, Ruben Sanchez, Vicente Ray Hernandez, Ruben Sanchez Jr., Jeremy Barrios and Anthony Sanchez.
