Sandra Kay Stefka Wight, age 65, of rural Hondo passed away Friday, Apr. 10, 2015. Born in Taylor, Aug. 7, 1949 , she was the daughter of Ben Roy and Lillian Gorbec Stefka, who preceded her in death. She grew up in Deer Park and raised the family in The Woodlands, where she worked at Mitchell Energy. She was known for her smile, laughter, warm heart and great cooking. She also loved being a grandmother. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, David L. Wight; daughter, Kristi (Marcus) Schnee of Houston and their three sons, Ethan, Marcus and Bennett; sons, Ronald "Ron" Wight of Austin and Scott (Shannon) Wight of Houston and their three daughters, Sienna, Samara and Soraya; brother, Ben Roy (Debbie) Stefka of Deer Park; and sister, Theresa (Richard) Lamance of Mont Belvieu. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 2 p.m.April 15, 2015 at the Earthman Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris, Bellaire 77401. The family suggests memorials may be made to Star of Hope Women and Family Emergency Shelter, 419 Dowling St., Houston TX 77003.
