Sergio Rosales of Hondo, age 54, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023.

Born Sept. 17, 1969, in Hondo, he was the son of Jose O. "Chino" and Maria R. Hernandez Rosales.

Sergio loved spending time with his family and friends and was a great cook and baker. He also was very supporting in his boys' sports activities, especially going to watch his son Samuel play football. He had many friends throughout the Hondo community and will be missed by everyone. Sergio was honored to be part of The Knights of Columbus in Hobbs, NM, up until the time he moved back to Hondo.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Rosa Isela Rosales.

He is survived by his wife, Maria I. Cardenas Rosales; sons, Sergio Rosales, Jr. and Samuel Rey Rosales; and sister, Leticia Gutierrez and spouse JeanLouie Eboueme; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 14, from 12 to 1:00 p.m. with a memorial service to be held at 1:00 p.m. at Guinn-Horger Chapel.
