Sharon Ann Wiemers Humphries of Hondo passed away Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020. She was 80.

Born in Hondo, Sept. 24, 1940, she was the daughter of Clinton and Maybelle Bohmfalk Wiemers.

After graduating Hondo High School, Sharon took a job at Kelly Air Force Base as a secretary. She loved her job and the people she worked with and stayed until she retired. She enjoyed history and had been a member of Castro Colonies Heritage Assn.

Sharon was a loving mother, sister and grandmother.

She has been reunited in death with her parents and sister, Patsy Wiemers Perry.

Survivors include her daughter, Monica Manteufel Cannon; son-in-law, Frederick Phipps Cannon III; grandchildren,  Elizabeth Lakey Cannon and Frederick Phipps Cannon IV; sister, Linda Wiemers (John M.) Winn; brother-in-law, Bill Perry; niece and nephews, Stephanie Winn (Chris) Lusher,  Jay (Gina) Winn, Clint (Trisha) Winn and Keith (Kelley) Perry.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 19, at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.

The family suggests memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, 322 Eighth Avenue, 16th Floor, New York NY 10001.
