Shelly Lynn (Routh) Monette, age 33, of San Antonio passed away Tuesday, Mar. 15, 2011. Born July 11, 1977, in Van Horn, she was the daughter of Larry Winn Routh and Deborah Kay (Bell) Routh. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas Valentine and Lois Lee (Ratliff) Bell, and stepfather, Eddie Rue Carpenter. Survivors are her husband, Steven A. Monette Jr.; son, Michael D. McKenna; daughter, Katelyn H. Broadbear; son, Shawn T. Broadbear; stepson, Trevor A. Monette; mother, Deborah Kay Bell Carpenter, all of San Antonio; father and stepmother, Larry W. and Dana Routh of San Angelo; grandparents, Harvel and Judy Routh of Uvalde; brother, Larry W. Routh Jr. and wife Stacy of Canyon Lake; stepbrother, Jamie Bird and wife Sonya of Midland; stepsister, Kassi Bird of San Angelo; stepson, Trevor A. Monette; aunts and uncles, Priscilla "Prissy" and Jesse Hutto of Hondo, Wayne and Venetta Bell of Burnett, Star and Gene Marshall of Scotts Bluff NE, and Cathy Hutcherson of Uvalde; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Steven A. and Kathleen P. Monette; sisters-in-law, Monica R. Monette and Michelle M. Monette. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Mar. 19, at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Interment will be at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
