Shirley Faye Bohmfalk of Yancey, Texas, passed away September 29, 2005, at the age of 64. She was born May 18, 1941, in Pearsall, the daughter of Edwin George & Ella May (Winters) Bohmfalk. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Patti Shawn Sturdy, husband Robert N. Sturdy, Jr., niece Jana Black. Shirley is survived by her son Robert North Sturdy III of Manvel; daughters Melinda Mena and husband Carlos of Yancey, Deanna C. Sturdy of Greenbay, WI, Alice Faye Calderon and husband Efrain, Sr., of Pearland, Paula Dawn Sturdy of Yancey; son Edwin George Sturdy and wife Leticia of Alvin; 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; sisters Jeanette Carol Black and husband George of Hondo, Sandra Kay Kotzur and husband E.M. of Willis. The Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Vance R. Elliott, will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday October 2, at the Yancey United Methodist Church. The casketcarriers were Edwin Sturdy, Efrain Calderon, Efrain Calderon, Jr., Carlos Mena, Anthony Mena, Ramon Calderon. Interment will follow in Yancey Cemetery.
