Stacey Allen Schmidt of Devine, 55, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017, in La Vernia, Texas. . He was born April 1, 1962, in San Antonio. Stacey enjoyed fishing, hunting and working with his hands. He spent his days traveling the back roads of Texas, enjoying his career as a land surveyor. He is survived by his son, Casey Schmidt of New Braunfels; daughters, Amber Schmidt of Houston and Tiffany (Scott Jr.) Durnell of LaVernia and three grandchildren. Funeral service was held Wednesday, July 5, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Quihi, followed by interment at Quihi Cemetery.
