Stanley Joe Burton, age 61, of Midland died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Donna A. Burton; sons, Stephen J. Burton and Nathan C. Burton; daughters, Pollian Massey and Jessica L. Rupe; brother, Tracy Burton; sisters, Roylene Small and Darlene Burton; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 22, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and funeral service will be Friday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m., both at American Hertage Chapel in Midland. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 24, at Yancey Cemetery in Yancey. Arrangements by American Heritage Cemetery and Funeral Home.
