Our very beloved mother, Stella Finger Ney, age 87, passed away on July 2, 2005 in San Antonio. Stella was born on February 20, 1918, in D'Hanis, the daughter of Louis Joseph & Caroline E. (Rothe) Finger. She was a wonderful mother, a great companion, and a true friend. She lived every day to the fullest and will be sorely missed. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Martin Horace Ney; brothers and sisters Clemens F. J. Finger, Maurice Finger, James Finger, Joseph Fritz Finger, Verene Maude Barlow, and Johanna (Sister Mary Damienne). Stella is survived by her four children - son Pat Ney, daughter Audrey Lee and husband Donald, sons Martin Ney, Jr. and Mark Ney all of San Antonio; five grandchildren - Nicole Motl and husband Greg, Andrea and Christine Lee, Jessica and Cody Ney; one great grandchild - Caleb Motl; her sister-in-law, Mrs. Joe Finger; and many loving nieces and nephews. The Rosary was Wednesday July 6, at 9:30a.m. and the Funeral Mass, officiated by Wallis Stiles, was at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 6, both services at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in D'Hanis. The pallbearers were Jim Barlow, Jon Barlow, Thomas Barlow, Charles Langfeld, Greg Motl, Cody Ney. The Burial followed at the Holy Cross Cemetery in D'Hanis.
