Sue Ella (Trant) Reinhart, age 84, of D'Hanis passed away Monday, Feb. 26, 2007, in Hondo. She was born in Keith, TX, July 2, 1922, the daughter of Robert P. and Sally (Sandel) Trant. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Mickey Trant, and sister-in-law, Rose Alice Trant. Sue was a past president of Delta Kappa Gamma, charter and life member of Castro Colonies Heritage Assn., past member of the Medina Co. Historical Commission, past president of the American Legion Auxiliary in Carrizo Springs, life member of Huajillo Chapter of Retired Teachers Assn., charter member of M. I. Hummel Club, member of Sam Houston University Alumni Assn., and a charter member of the Medina Co. History Committee. She was among the Medina County residents who attended the twinning of D'Hanis and sister cities Oberentzen and Nieder-entzen in Alsace. She was blessed by Pope Paul at the Vatican. She is survived by her husband, Oliver Reinhart; grandson, John Paul Reinhart Jr. and wife, Danielle; daughter, Suzanne Randolph and husband Jack of Fairbanks, AK; son, John Paul Reinhart and wife Leticia of D'Hanis; brother, Harold B. Trant of Iola, TX; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. and Rosary will be recited at 9:45 a.m. Thursday, Mar. 1, followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will be at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, D'Hanis. The family suggests memorials in her name be made to Holy Cross Perpetual Care, P.O. Box 98, D'Hanis, TX 78850.
