Sylvia Medina Fohn of Hondo, Texas, passed away September 26, 2005, at the age of 56. She was born October 24, 1948, in Cotulla, the daughter of Refugio & Gregoria (Chavarria) Medina. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Raul Medina. Sylvia is survived by her husband Eleno Fohn of Hondo; sisters Rosa Soto of Austin, Alicia Rodriguez and husband Raul of Cotulla, Maria Elena Garcia and husband Uvaldo, Jr. of Cotulla; sister-in-law Maria Elena (Martinez) Medina of Austin; father & mother-in-law Edward & Rosalia (Tovar) Fohn of Hondo; brother-in-law Edward Fohn, Jr. and wife Viola of Hondo; sisters-in-law Ruberta (Fohn) Wolff of Pearsall, Josie (Fohn) Flores and husband Morris of Castroville. The Rosary will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1, and the Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr Jeff Pehl, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday October 1, both services at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo. The pallbearers were Andres G. Ontiveros, Sostenes Garcia, Jr., Sergio Rosales, Danny Villanueva, Raul Rodriguez, Jr., Uvaldo Garcia. Interment will follow in Hondo Cemetery, St. John Section.
